The New Year was welcomed with gusto at Arunoday with a midnight celebration of the Eucharist with the communities around. Though it was very cold, the excitement was not less and we had a full scale celebration, complete with the burning of the old man of 2007 and a solemn dance.
The thanksgiving service began at 10 PM on Dec 31. It was followed by the Eucharistic celebration which went on till midnight. Then with cups of coffee and pieces of cake, we gathered outside to bid farewell to 2007 and welcome the New Year.
Christmas – New Year get-together was on the evening of Jan 1. It was a very cheerful evening with food and dance and gifts.
